This development required creation of a central distribution centre that was established in Leatherhead Surrey, which has coincided with the growth of a new type of retailing, the Evans Cycles web site. As the established business began to grow, and the sport and cycling activities became more popular, Evans Cycles expanded their business by opening two more shops in West London.
As the business developed, the centre in Leatherhead turned out to be too small, which is why in 2001, the head office and distribution was re-located to a new 50,000 square feet unit in Gatwick, Sussex.
